Vapiano is a German-based restaurant chain that operates 17 locations in Europe. The Heiserman Group is helping Vapiano enter the U.S. market by translating its successful European brand to the American restaurant scene.
THG visited Germany to study the operations and orignal restaurants in Frankfurt and Hamburg. After learning the ins-and-outs of Vapiano's restaurants, we designed three locations in the United States. The design of the M Street restaurant, In Washington, D.C., carefully blends American construction, codes and operational standards with the original brand's charateristic crisp, clean and contemporary atmosphere. THG has created a program that Vapiano can use to expand across the country.
Growth of the organic foods market is fast and fast is the key to describing our successful relationship with Organic to Go, a Seattle company founded in 2004. Only five weeks separated an initial conversation with the client to the grand-opening of their first Washington, DC location. Within twelve weeks, this expanding chain, which is responding to demand for speedy, nutritious food, had three downtown locations up and running. Working from the direction established in their West-coast sites, THG then surveyed, designed, documented and worked closely with the owner and the contractor to complete the fresh and modern cafes in record time.
